Samsung YP-T7JZ flash memory digital audio player. Weighing just 1.3 ounces, the
1 GB YP-T7JZ supports MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, and PlaysForSure secure WMA files,
giving you plenty of playback options while jogging, riding the bus, or just
hanging out at home. The unit also displays your favorite JPEG still images, in
effect turning the device into a portable photo album. And to top it off, the
YP-T7JZ includes both an integrated FM tuner and a digital voice recorder (via
the built-in microphone).
The unit's 1 GB of memory holds approximately 16 hours of CD-quality MP3
tracks (encoded at 128 kbps) or 32 hours of WMA tracks (at 64 kbps). The player
also records off the FM tuner either in real time or via programmed times (as
with a VCR). If you can't bear to miss your favorite NPR programs, this is the
media player for you. The built-in timer even functions as an alarm clock in a
pinch.
The YP-T7JZ's audio performance is enhanced by the seven-band customizable
equalizer, along with eight EQ presets, which include rock, classical, jazz,
house, and ballad. Plus, the device offers USB host support, so you can connect
external devices such as digital cameras or other MP3 players directly to the
unit to easily transfer music, images, and other data without needing a PC.
Other features include a 1.2-inch LCD screen, playlist playback, and a line-in
jack for direct MP3 recording.
The device receives its power from a built-in lithium-polymer battery that
recharges through your PC's USB connection and offers up to 10 hours of
playback. Compatible with PCs running Windows XP (SP1/SP2) with Windows Media
