flexibility and integrity. The Walkman(R) has evolved and embraces digital-media
and launches it ahead with new features, versatility, and design. The NW-A1200
Walkman(R) is compatible with MP3 - AAC - WMA and ATRAC3 files. It uses USB data
transfer from any PC. You can even convert your old CDs into MP3 and ATRAC
files. All this music is stored in a compact hard-drive with an 8GB capacity.
That stores up to 2000 MP3, 4000 WMA or 5300 ATRAC3 songs. A 6-Band equalizer
lets you cater the sound to your preference for personal enjoyment. Easy
download of music from Sony Connect-online music store where you can browse
through more than 700,000 songs on over 500 independent labels and all five
majors. The internal rechargeable battery provides up to 20 hours of continuous
music. You've a choice of recharging through a USB port (about 4 hours) or with
the supplied AC adapter (about 2 hours).
Sony G-Sensor system automatically and instantly reacts to changes in gravity
and velocity by releasing the recording head. This helps protect the hard disk
surface, preventing crashes and loss of data, ultimately improving long term
reliability.
Multifunction, illuminated 1.5" OLED Screen Allows you to choose from 9
different display languages including: English, Japanese, French, German,
Italian, Spanish, Korean and Chinese(traditional/simplified). Displays track
number, Bit Rate, elapsed time, song title, artist name, Spectrum Analyzer, play
mode, bass, AVLS mode, Battery Life Indicator.
